Boys’ Hockey: The Rams finished the regular season with a record of 9-9 and entered the playoffs as the #5 seed. Unfortunately, they lost in the first round of playoffs to #4 Yarmouth.

Cheerleading: The Rams cheerleading squad received 3rd place at the Western Maine Championships and went on to take 5th place at the Class A State Championships.

Boys’ Swimming: The team placed 7th overall at the Southwestern Championships, and scored several points at the Maine State Championships, however, according to senior Maxwell Harvey, the best part of this year was watching the team nearly triple in size.

Girls’ Swimming: The team had five top sixteen finishes and three top eight finishes throughout the season, helping them end the season eleventh overall in their division. At the State Swimming and Diving Championships, Caelyn (KK) Smith won medals in two individual heats, and the relay team of Haley McCullough, Sierra Lumbert, Caelyn Smith and Laura Bolduc won medals in the 400 freestyle relay.

Girls’ Track: The team finished third overall at the State Championship meet. Highlights came from relay team Kate Tugman, Iris Kitchen, Meadow Fortier, and Anna Slager, who broke the state record (see article) and Junior Evelyn Kitchen who placed third in long jump, creating a new school record of 16’11” on her first attempt.

Girls’ Hockey: Unfortunately the team ended the regular season with a record of 0-18. However, Senior Meghan Polchies focused on the growth during the season, whether the record reflected it it not. “We all improved throughout the season and had a great time playing [together],” she said.

Boys’ Basketball: The Rams basketball team closed the season with a record of 7-11 and placed #5 in their division. They fell to the Bonny Eagle Scots, 47-33, in their first playoff game.

Boys’ Indoor Track: The boys placed 12th overall in the State Championship meet. Three seniors placed in their respective events: David Drew placed second with a time of 6.7 seconds in the 55 meter dash, Wilkins Rossignol placed seventh in with a time of 2:04.57 in the 800 meter dash, and Anthony Chase placed seventh with a time of 10:17.64 in the two mile run. The boys 4×200 relay team also placed third with a time of 1:36.01. The team was awarded the MPA Sportsmanship award for the meet.

Wrestling: With four Gorham students on the combined Westbrook/ Gorham squad, the team was awarded the MPA Sportsmanship award at States.
