The New Year Gorham (NYG) Planning Committee has announced that the 15th year of New Year performances will be in-person with “a wide variety of performances that will please folks of all ages.” The performances will take place in the Municipal Center’s Shaw Gym and Gorham High School.

Committee member Virginia Wilder Cross commented, “It’s hard to believe we’ve been celebrating New Year Gorham for 15 years! That means there are kids, now in high school, who have only experienced New Year’s Eve with this amazing community party. Thanks to the countless volunteers, amazing talent, and incredibly generous donors, we are ready to mark a milestone year with a fabulous show.”

“In addition to featuring show favorites, we are planning to add opportunities for kids to learn some performing skills,” said NYG Coordinator Tom Hasbrouck. “We are in the early stages of confirming the schedule, but additional information will be coming soon.”

The committee recently posted on Facebook that “The New Year Gorham Committee of volunteers has been hard at work since the summer months, to brainstorm and plan for a phenomenal New Year’s Eve event for 2022.” This year is not only a milestone year but the first time in two years that it will be back in-person. The committee is excited to present this New Year’s Eve community event.

The committee is still in the planning stages of confirming the schedule. Any questions about the program and volunteer opportunities can be sent to Thomas Hasbrouck at trhasbrouck@icloud.com, or by phone call to Virginia Wilder Cross at 222-2248.
