The Gorham High School (GHS) spring athletic program schedule is a busy one, despite inclement weather including high wind gusts and reschedules due to rain. There is plenty of Ram Pride action at the home fields, including Hannaford Field at USM in person or through a new streaming program that features live events at nfhnetwork.com.

The new NFHS Network will stream both live and on demand, during regular season and playoff games. This is a convenient way for a parent/aunt/uncle/friend/sibling to watch online from home or on the go. Many colleges began this trend in 2018.

To round out the week, the Girls and Boys Tennis teams handled Biddeford in their matches, both to 5-0 victories. On the boys’ side, senior co-captain Killian Kolb and teammate co-captain Alden Dimmick are 2-1 on the season and most recently won their match 6-1, 6-2 v. Westbrook.

The Track and Field (T&F) Teams hosted their first meet of the season with visiting teams, Deering, Massabesic and Thornton Academy. The Girls T&F team was featured in the Portland Press Herald along with the boys team from Scarborough as the top two teams to watch this season.

As the new season continues, the extended weather forecast looks much warmer and brighter, a welcome change for coaches, athletes and spectators.
