On June 10, Gorham voters passed the $57.5 million 2025-26 school budget by 204 votes. Total votes were 2083 in favor to 1,879 opposed. Figures for Ward 1-1 were 607 yes votes to 446 no; Ward 1-2 were 420 no to 381 yes. Ward 2 votes were 777 yes to 747 no. Central office votes cast by absentee and early voters were 318 yes to 266 no votes.
By a vote of 2,748 to 1,170, Gorham voters also elected to continue having the school budget validation referendum question on the ballot for the next three years.
On Wednesday Superintendent Heather Perry thanked “everyone who came out to vote yesterday.” She said, “The annual school budget validation referendum is always such a great example to our students of how a democracy is supposed to function. We look forward to another great year of providing high quality education to our community.”
Jaci R. Reynolds received 2,579 votes to retain her position on the School Committee until the November election. She had been appointed to the committee to fill the vacancy created when Stewart MacCallister resigned his three-year term. Marilyn Amoroso received 207 of the 376 votes cast for valid write-in candidates.
