Village Elementary School recently had the good fortune of being selected as a recipient of the Elks Club’s annual school supply fundraiser. Each year, the Elks Club raises funds to support local schools, and this year, they chose Village Elementary as one of their beneficiaries. Their generosity has made a direct impact on Village Elementary classrooms, ensuring that students and teachers alike have access to the supplies they need. In addition to providing school supplies, the Elks Club reached out to ask if Village Elementary had any other needs. The school shared information about their backpack program, which supports students and families, as well as their nurses’ need for extra clothing for students. The Elks Club stepped up to the challenge, providing even more resources to help the Village Elementary community to thrive. Mrs. Hooper’s class proudly represented Village Elementary during this special project, serving as their student ambassadors in accepting the donations. To make sure the supplies are put to good use, all staff members were invited to stop by and “shop” for items their class or program needs.
