According to Andrew Gobeil, director of the Office of Communications and Creative Services at the Maine Department of Transportation, “At this time, MaineDOT has not received a completed Traffic Movement permit application from Amazon. Once received, MaineDOT has 30 days to schedule a public scoping meeting to address safety issues. MaineDOT will produce a press release and coordinate with local municipal governments to inform the public about the meeting.”

Sebago Technics, representing Amazon.com Services LLC, has recently issued a Public Notice of Intent to File for “an amendment and transfer with the approvals granted to the former applicant, Core X Complete Maine Regional, LLC to the current applicant,” which is Amazon.com Services LLC. The notice indicates that “A request for a public hearing… must be received by the Department in writing no later than 20 days after the application is found by the Department to be complete and accepted for processing.” A public hearing may or may not be held at the discretion of the Commissioner or Board of Environmental Protection. Public comments on the application will be accepted throughout the processing of the application.
