On Saturday, April 4, Gorham had eight teams compete at the Odyssey of the Mind Tournament. All of Gorham’s teams performed exceptionally well, with three teams placing first and two teams placing third. Teams that place first or second are invited to attend World Finals. The Great Falls fourth grade Structures team, one of the first place finishers, is the only team to decide to compete at the tournament’s World Finals at Iowa State University in May.

In order to make this exciting experience a reality, the team is actively seeking fundraising support. If you would like to help send these talented students to World Finals for this opportunity, please consider making a financial contribution. You can write a check to Great Falls Elementary School, with “Odyssey of the Mind Fund” noted in the memo, and mail it to Great Falls Elementary School, 73 Justice Way, Gorham, ME 04038. Great Falls School and the team are extremely grateful for your support in helping our team reach for the stars.
