Though many of the classes offered through Gorham Adult Education (GAE) are still located at Gorham Middle School, Village School, and other Gorham school buildings, the headquarters have relocated. The GAE main office and classrooms are now located at 381 Main Street, Suite 4, formerly occupied by MDS Printing, now located in the Industrial Park.

GAE is a part of the Gorham School System. They offer the community three types of classes, Community Enrichment, Academics, including High School Completion and English for Multilingual Learners, and Short-term Workforce Training.  

In the 2025-26 school year, the GAE Commuity Enrichment program served over 600 people and an additional 130 people in the Workforce and Academic programs. 

At the new location for Academic and Workforce Training, the new facility includes a Learning Lab especially for digital skills and English, in addition to other classrooms and offices. The staff agreed that a major benefit of the new space is its proximity to the Metro bus stop at the corner of Libby Ave. and Main Street. Most classes are in-person, with limited online options for the highest levels.

GAE staff includes Bridget Kahn, director; Kate Points, program coordinator; Tania Kabambi, academic coordinator; and Kristen Poulin, enrichment coordinator. The main office is open on Monday – Thursday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., and on Fridays by appointment only.
