Supporting our community, especially our local farms, has always been important. That is true now, more than ever. At the heart of each farm is a dedicated family- many with decades to one hundred plus years helping to build and sustain the Gorham community. This list is not a comprehensive list.

Parsons Dairy Farm, located at 321 Buck Street, is one of three remaining commercial dairy farms in Gorham. Now in the seventh generation of farmers, Parsons has a rich, long history in Gorham. Known for its Hood milk products, a variety of maple products, and the annual Antique Tractors Days held in October, Parsons is now expanding to include locally grown produce and honey. The new agricultural farmstand, run by Zak Parsons, is located at 126 Libby Avenue. Stop by and pick up in-season produce, jams, sour pickles, a variety of tasty pickled goods, maple syrup, maple barbeque sauce, rhubarb, and assorted plants! You can also find them on Wednesdays at Shaw Cherry Hill Farmers Market, and at the Gorham Farmers Market on Saturdays (May-October). Orchard Ridge Farm, located at 236 Sebago Lake Road, is owned and operated by a dynamic mother/daughter team and driven with community at the heart of all it does. Breakfast and latte- check, lunch on the farm-check, pick your own fruit- check, enjoy a summer concert series-check, relaxing- check, visit the farm animals- check! Flaggy Meadow Farm, located at 160 Flaggy Meadow Road, is one of three remaining commercial dairy farms in Gorham. Four generations of the Young family have owned and operated this farm spanning a total of 105 years! This speaks to their dedication to the Gorham community. Martin-Place Farm, located at 314 Fort Hill Road in Gorham, has been part of the community since 1901. Originally an operating dairy farm, it has since shifted focus while maintaining its agricultural roots. Today, the farm specializes in hay production, composted cow manure sales, pumpkins, and raising dairy calves—many of which are used by local youth in 4-H projects. The farm is also home to a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats, popular with visitors and often included in youth programming. Martin-Place regularly hosts 4-H and small community events and is part of the Harvest Hosts network, providing RV travelers with a quiet overnight stop surrounded by scenic farmland. Findview Farm, located at 147 Mighty Street, is a multi-generational farm offering locally and mindfully grown beef, pork, and seasonal vegetables. Working to produce the safest and highest quality products is the goal at Findview Farm. Products are available year-round at the farm, on Wednesdays at Shaw Cherry Hill Farmers Market, and at the Gorham Farmers Market on Saturdays (May-October). Benson Farm Earth Products, located at 64 Plummer Road, once a dairy farm in Gorham, has turned its focus to producing green, environmentally sourced, and organically certified lobster-based compost. An expedited decomposition process takes would-be waste and creates a nutrient-rich soil, enhancing the nutrient uptake for your produce and soil structure for your garden. At the heart of Benson Farm is conservation— “a well-cared for environment and land produces healthy crops, healthy families, and healthy communities.” Their compost can be purchased at many garden centers throughout Maine and some parts of New Hampshire. Underhill Fibers, located at 50 Wilson Road, is one of only four small fiber processing mini mills left in Maine who will take your wool and/or pet fibers and turn it into yarn. Specializing in small batches of fiber ensures you get back what you drop off. Underhill Fibers is committed to environmentally friendly practices. Spiller Country Farm, located at 118 Spiller Road, has much to offer! Producing Maine maple syrup is top of the list. Add to that, honey, pickles, and more being added. But, there’s more- Spiller Country Farm offers the public an enchanting Harvest Walk and a festive Christmas/Holiday Walk just in time to get people in the spirit of changing seasons. For the thrill-seeking, winter enthusiasts, there is a Motocross event held in January. Stay tuned for more details about the Spiller Country Store opening. Vienna Farm, located at 594 Fort Hill Road, is your go-to equestrian center. Vienna Farm, a training and riding school, has been in Gorham for 40 years. Lead instructor and trainer, Tanya Rennie, a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist has been teaching for more than 45 years. Tanya, and assistant trainer, Amy Libby, a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, enjoy working with all levels of riders. They provide boarding for those who are in the lesson program or in training. Alpacas at Holistic Farms, located at 20 Berry Farm Way, has been raising alpacas since 2021. Holistic Farms currently offers seed stock (a minimum of three) for those getting started with alpacas. A sheering day is scheduled for the afternoon of 6/19/25. In collaboration with Underhill Fibers, the alpaca fiber is milled and returned as roving. Owners Terilyn Lopez and David Brower welcome tours of the farm, at no cost. They love meeting new people and talking about farming and, of course, alpacas. Shaw Cherry Hill Farm, located at 616 Main Street, has something for everyone, year-round! With seven well-manicured trails, maintained by the Gorham Rec. Department, Shaw Cherry Hill is a great place to walk. In the wintertime, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are a must. During the summer months Shaw Cherry Hill Farm holds its Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 2 – 6 p.m.—stop by to find a wonderful variety of items from many local makers. Rusty Knoll Farm, located on Rust Road is a dairy farm, owned and run by five generations of the Rust family. They all work the farm and sell their products wholesale.
