This month the Baxter Memorial Library is showcasing art from the Lakes Region Art Studio which is part of the Lakes Region Senior Center. The center can be found in the Little Falls Recreation Center off of Rt. 202.
The studio is a drop-in group that meets every Wednesday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. It’s open to anyone wanting to paint, draw, or construct in a visual medium. The artists bring their own material.
There, artists rub elbows with like-minded creatives in a supportive, casual atmosphere. The group has existed for several years, and accepts new members through the Recreation Program for $40 per year.
This show features a collection of art from the participants. You’ll see watercolors, acrylic and oil paintings, collages, handmade books and drawings. Almost all the pieces are for sale. So, drop by the library and get a good sampling from our local artists.
