The Gorham Girls Ice Hockey Team earned a much-deserved sports accolade this season: The Maine Principals’ Association Good Sportsmanship Award. The team was led by tri-captains, Phoebe Richards, Sadie Dyer, and Cadence Howard. Head Coach Mary Vaughan could not have asked for a more supportive, hard working group this year. Coach Vaughan explains, “This team is all heart.”

The Gorham Girls Alpine team finished 16th of 24 and the boys finished 11th of 21 teams. Gorham Athletic Director Tim Spear emphasized how well these Alpine programs competed with small teams. Coach Muncaski’s team, comprised of only one sophomore and several Freshmen, finished the season strong. The Gorham Girls’ Team was awarded the Maine Principals’ Association Good Sportsmanship Award.
