The Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the completion and official opening of the new playground at Robie Park will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11. The public is invited. That evening, from 5 – 7 p.m., local families are invited to celebrate the opening, and try out the new “water feature.” There will be food trucks and recorded music.

Norway Savings Bank (NSB) recently sent an annual invitation to customers, team members and the wider community to capture the beauty of Maine and New Hampshire in a photograph. The contest drew 504 photo submissions, 17 of them for the 2027 Norway Savings Bank Desk Calendar.

After a panel of judges comprised of NSB team members viewed the submissions, the winning photographs were selected. The photographer’s name and photograph locations will be listed on the back cover of the calendar.

The $250 grand prize winner was Anastasia McCallister of Auburn and the other photographers besides Tiedje who had a picture or pictures selected were Mick Harris of Rochester, New Hampshire; Cayla Cecchini of Winthrop, Maine; Audrey Raymond of Masardis, Maine; Joseph Wax of New Gloucester, Maine; Nina Ella Jones of Kennebunk, Maine; Christine Hamilton of Rangeley, Maine; Jessica Violette of Boothbay, Maine; Tom Fisher of Pemigewasset, New Hampshire; David Hursty of Bridgton, Maine; David Spenciner of Lubec, Maine; Peter Caggiula of Mount Moosilauke, New Hampshire; Ella Webber of Auburn, Maine; and Stephanie Morrison of Boothbay, Maine.

The 2027 NSB Desk Calendar will be available in mid-November, and all are welcome to stop by any NSB branch to pick up a free calendar.
