As stated on the town’s website, “The town clerk’s office is responsible for all elections held in the town (federal, state and local). This is a year-long, on-going process.”

There’s much more at that website, so be sure to visit http://gorhammaine.gov, and search for ‘voting information’ so that you are well-prepared to vote on June 9. Sample ballots were not yet available at the time of this printing.

At the town’s website you can learn about registering to vote (required), voting locations according to your address, absentee ballot requests, workshops, and more. If you have a specific question and can’t find it on the web for some reason, call the town clerk’s office at (207) 222-1670.

Gorham offers the Accessible Voting System designed for those with sight or mobility impairments, allowing them to cast their ballots independently. They are not required to use it, but can have assistance from another person if they prefer it. To use the system, let the check-in clerk know when you arrive.

For those new to voting in Gorham, Gorham is located in Cumberland County. It’s part of Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. For state legislative purposes, it is in Senate District 26. For the Maine House of Representatives, Gorham is in House District 27.
