Varsity Baseball North v. South All Star Game:

The annual senior all-star game for Varsity baseball was held at Saint Joseph’s college of Maine in Standish on June 24, one of the hottest days in Maine on record. The north v. south all-star event had plenty of action despite the heat. Gorham had four athletes representing their community (all college bound to further their baseball careers); Wyatt Nadeau (Vanderbilt commit), Mason Finck (USM), Jack Karlonas (Husson) and Gorham native Josh Polchies (Falmouth Navigators and USM).

GYBSA Softball All-Stars U 8 -10 Softball District Champs:
Gorham’s U 8-10 Softball All Stars defeated the GNG/Raymond team 15-0 on July 1 at Village school. The team moves on to play Saco in the Maine state championship tournament, held in South Berwick. Updates on the State tourney will be available in a future edition.

GYBSA Baseball All-Stars:
Congratulations. For the first time since moving from the Cal Ripken league, Gorham Little League are District 6 champions. The team defeated Falmouth winning in extra innings July 10. They finished the tournament with a 5-0 record. The team now moves on to the State championship which takes place in Machias. Updates on the State tourney will be available in a future edition.
