In recognition of the food pantries’ shared mission of providing food, opportunities, and education to combat hunger and food insecurity, Darci Hamm, Chief Operating Officer EVP, and Amy Lehigh, Market Manager VP, dropped $500 checks off at both Gorham Food Pantry and Standish Food Pantry last week (pictures attached).
The surprise donations are part of NSB’s “Holiday Helping Hands” initiative as team members are visiting many nonprofits in Maine and New Hampshire to provide an extra boost during the season of giving.
“Through the amazing support of local businesses like NSB, we are able to feed all those suffering from food insecurity in our community and 33 surrounding communities,” said Darlene Quarles, a volunteer at the Standish Food Pantry.
The Standish Food Pantry is open on Mondays from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 207-358-0359.
