A gathering, at the site of Amazon’s proposed distribution center on Rt. 25, was organized by Gorham United, a citizens organization. About fifty people took part in the event that took place on Saturday, Aug. 8.

Attendees spoke against the town council’s 2025 decision to sell 94 acres to Amazon, and urged councilors to rescind the sale. A poster by members of Maine’s Artist Rapid Response Team (ARRT), and was displayed throughout the day
