On the Town of Gorham Official Ballot for the Municipal Election on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, Gorham voters will be asked to vote for no more than two candidates for Town Council to serve a 3-year term, and no more than three candidates for School Committee.
Candidates for Town Council are Roger W. Kramer, Suzanne E. Phillips, Samuel R. (Sam) Purinton, and Charles L. (Lou) Simms, with an opportunity to write in two more names.
Candidates for School Committee are Nancy N. Flagg, Sheldon Jones, Karl J. Krebs, Michelle L. Littlefield, Michael D. Lund Ziegler, and Matthew M. Steinback, with an opportunity to write in three more names.

Page 2 of the ballot contains Referendum Question 1, “Shall the Town vote to authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds and/or notes in anticipation of such bonds in a principal amount not to exceed $6,688,752.00, and to appropriate the proceeds thereof for the purpose of financing costs of the following projects.
- Gorham High School Parking, Sidewalks, ADA Access & Drainage, at an estimated project cost of $763,000.00.
- Gorham High School Old Portable Replacement (Replace old portables with new connected expansion – 6 classroom spaces), at an estimated project cost of $4,600,000.00.
- Gorham High School Window Replacement, Door Replacement and Brick Veneer Work at an estimated project cost of $1,325,752.00.
According to the fiscal note on the ballot, the total estimated debt service of the bonds authorized by this question is $8,669,565.00, of which principal is $6,688,752.00 and estimated interest at 3.7% over 15 years is $1,980,813.00.
The Town Council recommends a “Yes” vote (7 in favor/0 opposed).
